Hi

When i try to install package stickynotes_applet from rpmforge, it
conflicts with the gnome-applets package from the SL6 repository.

Test Transaction Errors:
file /usr/lib64/bonobo/servers/GNOME_StickyNotesApplet.server from
install of stickynotes_applet-1.2.3-0.2.el6.rf.x86_64 conflicts with
file from package gnome-applets-1:2.28.0-7.el6.x86_64

Is this a bug?

no; this tells us that in versions prior to EL6, there was no stickynotes applet, but in EL6 it's included as part of the upstream gnome-applets package, and so we need to tag it as rfx in EL6. i'll take care of that; however, for the time being i'd recommend that you exclude stickynotes from your yum config.

thanks for your report!

Hi

I am not sure that gnome-applets includes all the files, it only seems
to include that single
file /usr/lib64/bonobo/servers/GNOME_StickyNotesApplet.server. Also
sticky notes is not included in the list when i right click add to
panel.

Though i have read sticky notes was removed from fedora 12 in favor of
gnotes, so maybe that is the reason.
