Is Clamav going to maintained at repoforge any longer?

With the latest security fix being added to 0.97.8 on 4/23/10 it is
approaching 5 months behind.

Thanks

I wouldn't hold my breath if I were you. Use the version at EPEL.

Just switch to EPEL if you really need it.

Hi,
Is repoforge still an ongoing project? With no updates since early June, and the ongoing conversation regarding the ClamAV update, there seems to be a complete stop to any new updates.

Or is it due to European summer and various persons are on holidays?

Cheers,
David

I would also appreciate any comment from the heads of the project.

Dag, any status update here?

Thanks in advance,

I grabbed the source from clamav.org and compiled on Centos 5.x without much
trouble.

Makefile.in has a line "@LDFLAGS@" that I had to change to "@LDFLAGS@
-ltinfo" in order for clamdtop to compile.

I use it with MailScanner and had to make a few tweeks to the
MailScanner.conf for paths, etc., but it is up and running fine and didn't
take that long.

It's a shame that repoforge isn't keeping up with it, kinda had me in a lazy
state when I could just yum it up, but no big deal.

It is better to use already compiled packages, so using clamav from EPEL
is better then compiling.

EPEL package doesn't have clamdtop

At least they are current on the version though.

I guess this repo is dead in the water. No updates and no comments from the
maintainers speaks for itself.

Sad and regrettable. Nothing lasts for ever. Unsure EPEL can take its
place.

Understand the volunteers create the updates but Dag fails to sign them
with the key. Apparently no one else has access to the signing key.

Hi everybody,

Not only to sign, but also to build. I've done some cooking, more in the
next message from me.

Regards,
David Hrb??

What?

You said that it missed clamdtop in epel, then just select component to
Fedora EPEL and report.

Repoforge is not maintained by Fedora or red hat, of course.
